D&D Shut It® BadAss™ Heavy Duty hinge

The D&D SHUT IT® Heavy-Duty BadAss Hinge is one mighty dude! Designed for the rarest of installations where even The D&D SHUT IT® ORIGINAL is not BAD enough. For these situations, D&D SHUT IT® has designed the HD to hold 50 percent more load than the D&D SHUT IT® ORIGINAL. As with all our BadAss hinges, the HD is CNC machined to the industry’s tightest tolerances.

Unique Stover Locknut™
an innovative, shaped threads provide a vibration-resistant friction fit so nut stays firm. The top thread section is deformed to create two or three locking zones (can be re-used 2-3 times). The all-metal locknuts withstand higher temperatures than nylon-insert locknuts.

High Temperature Sealed Bearings
Safe to powder-coat with hinges installed on the gate (excluding CI3850 self-closing hinge and CI3800 Stainless Steel BadAss). No greasing, no maintenance; hinge options include 1, 2, 3 or 4 bearings and performs better than roller cages that require periodic greasing.
